Channatip Chanvipava

b. 1993


Channatip Chanvipava (b.1993, Bangkok) is a self-taught Thai artist based in London. After graduating from London School of Economics in 2016, Chanvipava returned to his pursuit of painting which he has practiced since a young age and has led him to enrol at the Royal College of Art, London in 2024. Chanvipava’s work has been shown in numerous exhibitions.

His first notable solo exhibition was a monumental and site specific show presented during the 60th International Venice Biennale and titled ‘The Sound of Many Waters’, Roman Road, Dimora Ai Santi, Venice (2024). His works were also exhibited in solo show ’Spirit Unravelled’ at Monti8, Latina, Italy (2023). Other group shows include: ’WE ARE THE FUTURE: Knocking on Heaven’s Door’, Christie’s, London (2024); ‘City Escape’, Monti8, Latina, Italy (2023); ‘From here to here’, Nova Contemporary, Bangkok (2023), ‘EXTREME: 2 Chairs, 1 Life’ at Roman Road, London (2023); ’When I was walking on the edge of a teacup’, Roman Road (2023). He recently completed an artist residency with IM Residency, Suffolk, UK (2023).
